This will not last!

Let me go on Record as saying that the Cincinnatti Reds are all smoke and mirrors. I'm not sure how they are winning like they are, but it simply will not last. The team is in the bottom half of the league in Runs Scored, Runs Against, and fielding %, you don't win championships doing that. Also they just don't have the pitching to last that long. My guess is they'll fade shortly after the All-star break if not before.

Also please note that as I predicted Chris Carpenter is have a break out year, and now that Albert has come back to form the Cards are starting to put it together. Now all they have to do is survie the loss of Mike Matheny (his defense and ability to call a game will be missed).

What's the problem with the Braves this year? Are they done with, or do you see them coming on strong after the all-star break?

Humm,
Well I'm going to say no and no. No I don't think they are done, but no I don't think they are going to have a big surge after the break either. The Braves MO has always been pitching until last year, when thier hitters went nuts. But they lost 2 of thier sluggers from that team (lopez and Sheff.). Oddly however the 2 replacements have done extremely well and they are still only at .500.

3 Key stats to a braves turn around this season.

1. Errors - Braves lead the NL in errors. They have to field the ball better, to give thier pitchers a chance.

2. The Jones's average - Together Chipper and Andruw have to be over 300 for thier offense to have a chance.

3. Starters Whip - Not one of the starters has a WHIP under 1.30. If your letting that many guys get on base your gonna get scored on a lot.

All that said I think the Marlins and the Phillies both have better teams and just don't see the braves doing a whole lot.

hey buddy, yur wrong wrong wrong...

well, actually, probably not...but it's been fun for us Reds fans anyway...

but it won't be the cards...sorry sorry...Astros if anyone...there's always next year...

Explain to me why not the Cards? They've held thier own against any of the others in the division and have bested the Astros to this point.

The Reds are already begining to fade. But they have a nice offense.

But feel free to criticize anytime you like.
